November OMG

Right under the wire ... but here goes.  This month I want to quilt the Slats quilt that I pieced in October ... no problem, right.  We'll see ... I have to do a bunch of marking, then find a place big enough to sandwich this baby. For me this month, it will be no small feat =)

Linked up here as #64.

Winner, Winner!

A couple of weeks ago, Denise over at Pieced Brain hosted an Instagram giveaway to celebrate 200 followers.  (Thanks also to @debbienjeff!)

OMG Finish

I actually finished most of this early in the month, but the final border sat next to the machine for two weeks before I finally made myself finish it.

October OMG

I'm gonna be right on this for October.  I've missed the last 2 months because I lost track of time posting early in the month.  I've been collecting fabrics for a couple of request quilts and am excited to get going on them!

August Stash Bee Blocks

This month we were asked to make these super-cute tic-tac-toe blocks.  I love the way they turned out and hope they play well with all the others, Stephanie!

I've been busy this month trying to catch up on my summer solstice quilt along ... Hopefully I'll have some progress to share soon =)

July's One Monthly Goal

For some reason I've really been struggling with what I want to focus on this month.  I've pulled out 3 or 4 different projects that've been rolled up on my desk awaiting quilting.

June Madness

So, last month I had a couple of fun distractions ...

After the Pulse shooting, one of my Facebook groups got together to make heart blocks.  Diane Bohn designed the Love is Made of Hearts quilt and gave it for free ... more work that I would usually put in, but it was a great experience.

Just under the wire ...

I am so in love with the way this turned out!!  I've actually had it done for about a week, but have a couple of side projects I've been working on and haven't been able to take pictures.  This is the first time I've made a quilt big enough to actually go over the edges of my bed ....

For me, I got brave with the background colors.  I used a wide variety --there are yellow/citron colors, grays, blues, whites and even some purple and orange.

This is also a timely finish because Sarah is on her trek this week.  She comes home tomorrow evening.

June's One Monthly Goal

This month is going to be a crazy one.  School gets out, Nicholas goes on his trip, and Sarah goes on the Trek.  All of this back-to-back making my calendar seem crazy before I even get there.  So many last-minute things to get ready for these activities as well as the normal end-of-school craziness to work around.

May OMG Finish

I honestly didn't think I'd get this far!  I don't think I've been so focused in a really long time.  I not only finished my goal to cut out all and piece half the blocks, but I ended up piecing all the blocks and now I have a nice pile of log cabin blocks!

April OMG Finish!

This month I wanted to get Nicholas's Bear Tracks trek quilt cut out--bonus would be actually finishing a couple of blocks ...  Woohoo! met & exceeded =)

Happy Mail Day!

Last night I got home from work a little early and was so excited to find 2 little packages waiting for me on my porch.  One was from Heidi at Red Letter Quilts.  This was my win for last month's OMG link-up.  It was not only great to finally get a good part of my mojo back, but Heidi and I have some history

Keeping Motivated

I spent this past weekend cutting out 42 bear claws for my revised Bear Tracks quilt.  I've had the matched-up stacks on my desk and I'm so excited about this quilt!

April ... One Monthly Goal

Last month I realized that the next trek is coming up.  Samantha went on the last one (and I'm still almost finished with her memory quilt.)  Nicholas and Sarah are all signed up to go and I got to thinking about what I wanted to do for them.

A Bit of a Rough Start ...

This year has been a bit slow for me.  I'm still finishing the quilting on my One Word mini.  It's coming along and I love the direction it's taken; I just need to make more time to take the steps to finish it up.

January Goal

I'm quite excited because Heidi over at Red Letter Quilts has started an off-shoot of ALOYF and she's calling it One Monthly Goal.  Last month she pointed me in the direction of Elm Street Quilts and her word-of-the-year linky.

January Stash Bee Block

I've officially started another year with Stash Bee.  I was going to take this year off, but gave in at the last minute; I just can't imagine not being a part of this sewing community!  This year I'm back in Hive 1 where I started and this is the block I made for Alison this month

2015

Happy New Year everyone!  Here is my final ALOYF posting.  This past year was productive for me.
