2015

Happy New Year everyone!  Here is my final ALOYF posting.  This past year was productive for me.
I'm going to miss this format and I'm sure I'll spend most of 2016 figuring out what will keep me finishing now ... Here are my 2015 finishes with a few favorites from last year thrown in.

Some weekend time with Sam
January:  I finished my charm topper.  Most of the year it resides atop my mantle.  I love it!

February:  Scrap Quilt finish.  I used the leftovers from a QAL for this baby-size quilt.

Nicholas and his cousin, Madison
March:  Hunter's Star top.  I really need to finish my Stash Bee 2015 quilt--it turned out so well. I have the backing ready to go, just need to make time.

Goodies for my Stash Bee ladies!
April:  Finally Finished my Hello Handsome top!  I worked on this several months in 2014 as well.

This is pretty much what I get from
Sarah unless she's swimming ...
May:  Sam's graduation dress was quite a process.  I'm glad I could do it for her, but won't be repeating that one =)

June:  Esme top.  Finally some sewing for me.  I love this shirt.  I wore it all summer and plan to break it out again as soon as it is warm enough.

Sarah and her best friend at Regionals for
Battle of the Books.
July:  Scrappy Churn Dash Top.  I think I finally have enough distance to pick this up again soon.

Yes, I binge-watched this show on Netflix and ROKU ...
then visited the set in Magna, UT
August:  Bento lunch bags.  I made these thinking I would be subbing again soon ... I do use them regularly at my new job, though.

Nicholas and his first year on
SHS Cross Country
September:  Quilted Hello Handsome.  This was a small miracle since I was hired on the 21st to do a store set for Hobby Lobby.  Long, hard, physical days meant I wanted to escape, I guess.

Sarah finishing up her Missionary
Christmas project
October:  Frivols mini.  I posted my goal, did finish it, but with the excitement of my new job as assistant manager at Hobby Lobby I didn't get the finish posted in time ...

November:  I inadvertently took this month off ... in more ways than one =)

One of my favorite FMQ finishes to-date.
December:  At least I can say I went out with a bang!  Hello Handsome was finished, re-named Shades of Life and even made it under the tree for Christmas giving.

I have several UFO's I can work on this year and hope to be a bit more balanced in my approach to sewing, blogging and life in general.  Have a wonderful year!

  4. I, too, was a recipient of some Stash Bee blocks and just dropped by to see what you are up to this new year. Looks like you had a productive 2015 and were able to fit in lots of sewing along with busy family. Love your work.
