Whew! I was seriously thinking this would not get done. I realized about a week into the month that there was no way I had the time to do the custom quilting I had in mind, so I went with this loopy all-over pattern. The texture is so yummy.
I really like the gradual change in the colors. I'm still a little in awe that I totally used scraps from another quilt for this top. {These were originally dessert rolls of Circa 1835 that I used for the Flower Patch Quilt Along a couple of summers ago.}
I ended up piecing the backing a little because I didn't buy quite enough of the gray fabric, but had plenty of the green binding fabric. I like the way it turned out. The only thing really left is the label, but I haven't decided what to call it yet ... I think it'll just stay on my desk until I do as motivation.

Congrats on your finish. It turned out really great. Love that back!
ReplyDeleteI like the loopy design. Your stitches look so even too. Very nice! And congrats on the finish.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to get things finished, isn't it. Names? Hmmm. I see 'fading paving' in the colourwash and parquetry-like pattern.
ReplyDeleteI like, I like and the pieced backing is so much more interesting. Congrats to you on the finish.
