ALOYF February Finish

So neat and orderly ...

I had a sort-of smaller goal this month (since the end of Feb always seems to sneak up on me.)  In addition to ALOYF, I had to complete 2 swaps, Stash Bee blocks and keep up with the STSB quilt along.  Thanks to one snowed-in weekend, I managed to get it all done =)

This was the before shot from my goal post (linked up as #31.)

Since I'll be making all these lovelies into HSTs, I decided to try starching my fabrics before I cut them.  I'll have to see how I like it once I start stitching these together, but I already like the stiffer feel of the cuts.  I'm not as worried about warping while sewing and cutting on the bias.  In addition to cutting 200 squares of each color, I also bought the backing, batting and binding. (I had a 10% coupon + $10 gift card at my LQS and a 50% coupon at Joann's.)  I'm super excited to see how this turns out now!
