Try and Try Again

Well, I didn’t quite finish my goal for last month. Almost, but not quite. It’ll keep a bit longer ... this month I turn my attention back to this t-shirt quilt that keeps getting sidelined for other squirrels.

OMG—Words for March

This month I was inspired to pull out my Words to Live By quilt.  Moda’s latest challenge stems from their Spell It! alphabet. It originally debuted several years ago and there are lots of gorgeous versions for inspiration.

OMG--Another WIP Done!

Whew!  I'm SO happy to have this finished.  It's literally been hanging in my sewing area since 2011.  8 years!  Really since before I learned how to quilt.  How did I let it sit for that long?!?

One Monthly Goal—February

This year for me is about finishing projects that have been languishing in piles around my sewing room. In addition to participating in the hand piecing quilt along and project quilting (my only two new projects) I am focusing on reducing my piles where projects are carefully set aside when I get squirreled.

OMG--2 of 6

Yay!  I finished my January goal.  I am absolutely floored with how many little pieces I'm actually dealing with.  I mean, I knew.  But taking the time to press each one and then seeing them stacked up so neatly really brought it home.  It's gonna be quite a task to get it all back together.

One Monthly Goal—January

I'm working on getting back in the saddle this year.  I missed my OMG most of last year!  The first week of this month I'm out of town with my Sarah, so I really only have 3 weeks to work on this month's focus goal.

January OMG

It's been a while not only since I've posted, but also since I've really focused on my sewing.  This year I re-upped for another stint in Stash Bee after taking last year off.  I've also made a sort-of master list of projects to focus on this year.  For another post ...

July OMG

For this month's goal I finally settled on making Sarah's Girl's Camp pillowcase.

June OMG Goal

I've been really out of touch for the last couple of months.  I'll hopefully work on getting caught up over the next little while,

OMG February--Swooning!

This month my goal was to get the scrappy panels together for my Scrappy Swoon quilt.  I got a bit carried away with sewing 4-patch strip units, and ended up with enough strips to make over 50 16-patch squares!

January OMG

I guess it's a last-minute decision to join in again.

November OMG

Right under the wire ... but here goes.  This month I want to quilt the Slats quilt that I pieced in October ... no problem, right.  We'll see ... I have to do a bunch of marking, then find a place big enough to sandwich this baby. For me this month, it will be no small feat =)

I actually finished most of this early in the month, but the final border sat next to the machine for two weeks before I finally made myself finish it.

July's One Monthly Goal

For some reason I've really been struggling with what I want to focus on this month.  I've pulled out 3 or 4 different projects that've been rolled up on my desk awaiting quilting.

June's One Monthly Goal

This month is going to be a crazy one.  School gets out, Nicholas goes on his trip, and Sarah goes on the Trek.  All of this back-to-back making my calendar seem crazy before I even get there.  So many last-minute things to get ready for these activities as well as the normal end-of-school craziness to work around.

For May, I'm keeping the same theme going from last month and starting Sarah's Tree of Life trek quilt.

April OMG Finish!

This month I wanted to get Nicholas's Bear Tracks trek quilt cut out--bonus would be actually finishing a couple of blocks ...  Woohoo! met & exceeded =)

Happy Mail Day!

Last night I got home from work a little early and was so excited to find 2 little packages waiting for me on my porch.  One was from Heidi at Red Letter Quilts.  This was my win for last month's OMG link-up.  It was not only great to finally get a good part of my mojo back, but Heidi and I have some history

April ... One Monthly Goal

Last month I realized that the next trek is coming up.  Samantha went on the last one (and I'm still almost finished with her memory quilt.)  Nicholas and Sarah are all signed up to go and I got to thinking about what I wanted to do for them.
