July's One Monthly Goal

For some reason I've really been struggling with what I want to focus on this month.  I've pulled out 3 or 4 different projects that've been rolled up on my desk awaiting quilting.
It's been a while and I think  it's time to do some FMQ this month.  I'm going back to the beginning (for me, anyway) and setting my goal to finish my Balance quilt from January of this year.

I've really been thinking about this one and realized why I gave up on it ... I won't go into details, but I do feel I've come to terms with this project and can now finish it with a new purpose.  I've already quilted about 1/4 of it, so I'll plan on finishing not only the quilting, but also the binding so it will truly be finished.

Linked up here as #51.

  1. It will be good to get it done and crossed off your list!

  2. It's great when you can get long-term WIPs off the to-do list. Old projects that are no longer quite your cup of tea can be great for practicing FMQ because you don't worry quite so much if it doesn't go well. Sometimes I have even found I rediscover what made me like the project in the first place...though if not, at least it is done! Good luck getting it done!
