June ALOYF Goal

I almost didn't post a goal this month.  I know things are crazy, and I wasn't sure I wanted to add to it all.  My mom has been here this past week and been encouraging me to get my bee blocks done.  I finally figured this morning that if I can get those done in the chaos of graduation, I can do this =)

This month will be full of family and friends.  My oldest (and coincidentally most of her friends) is graduating from high school.  Then later this month, I'm travelling to Utah (with kiddos) to see all of my sisters and their families.  Since we literally live from one coast to the other, this is quite an undertaking.

As a result, I know I'm not going to get much sewing done.  I've been debating several projects, and I think I've finally decided that I want to make this shirt.  It's been sitting in the side drawer of my sewing desk for at least a year and a half.  Since I was able to finish Sam's dress last month, I know I can do this much-simpler pattern.

I don't usually splurge on indie patterns for clothes, but I saw this and knew I'd love it.  I bought it and it sat around and disappeared into the abyss.  Still haven't found that first one I bought ... I used my JoAnn's coupons and picked this one up several months later with this shirting fabric.  I love those teeny-tiny stripes.

Linked up here as #74.

  2. 'All of your sisters' sounds like you have a lot of sisters. How many states (or towns) will you have to stop in on the way to Utah?

  3. That is a darling top. The fabric you've chosen is perfect for it. Have fun making your goal.
